About the role
As a Waking Night Support Worker at Bradley View, you'll play a vital role in helping seven wonderful people enjoy safe, comfortable and peaceful nights.
Bradley View is a lively and welcoming home supporting six ladies and one gentleman aged between their 30s and 60s, with a wide range of support needs including learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, dysphasia and profound and multiple learning disabilities. Every person is unique, and you'll take the time to understand what helps them feel safe, reassured and supported.
Throughout the night, you'll carry out regular wellbeing and safety checks, helping to ensure everyone is comfortable and secure. You'll provide personal care with dignity and respect, including assisting with repositioning where required, while remaining attentive to any health or support needs that arise.
Most people will have completed their bedtime routines before your shift begins, but one lady occasionally enjoys being awake during the night and may need emotional reassurance, a calm sensory environment and gentle encouragement to settle.
Alongside supporting people, you'll help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming home by completing household tasks, health and safety checks, and accurate record keeping using our IT systems. Above all, you'll be a reassuring presence, helping create a therapeutic and nurturing environment where people can rest comfortably and feel valued.
Shifts: Working on a 2 week rolling Rota
Week 1 - Wednesday & Sunday
Week 2 - Friday & Saturday
