About the role
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you’ll provide attentive, person-centred overnight support to six individuals—two men and four women aged from their 20s to 70s—with a range of needs including learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, visual impairments and mental health needs, ensuring their safety, comfort and wellbeing through the night, carrying out regular checks, supporting with medication and any personal care needs (from minimal support to occasional showering or continence care), assisting with mobility for a person who uses a wheelchair and walking aid, and helping maintain a calm environment while getting to know their vibrant personalities and interests—from playing pool and caring for guinea pigs to enjoying trips to the gym, discos, local clubs and a shared love of Disney and Dreamworks favourites like Shrek.
Nights: Alternate Tuesday / Saturdays, some flexibility is required.
