About the role

This waking night role supports six adults across two homes in Chard and Crewkerne. At The Old Farmhouse, you’ll be supporting five people living in self-contained accommodation within one building, while also providing waking night support to one person living independently in a flat at Rhydderch House. Your presence overnight is key to ensuring everyone feels safe, reassured, and well supported.

Every night, you’ll help create a safe, calm, and comforting environment for the people we support.
Your role will include:

• Carrying out regular “keeping safe checks” to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.
• Recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems – from support plans to health and safety logs – so we can provide the best care possible.
• Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
• Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
• Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.
