About the role

At The Beeches in Frome, you'll be supporting eight fantastic people, aged from their 20s to 70s, to live happy, fulfilling and independent lives. The people who call The Beeches home have big personalities, varied interests and active social lives, so this is a role for someone who enjoys getting involved and sharing in the things that matter to others.

You might find yourself heading out to a bingo session, accompanying someone to a live wrestling event, or singing along at a concert featuring everyone from K-Pop artists to ABBA and Neil Diamond tribute acts. One gentleman is a huge horror movie fan and loves trips to the cinema, while two ladies have a passion for all things paranormal and enjoy ghost-hunting adventures. Another gentleman loves animals and enjoys visiting zoos and petting farms, while one keen gardener is always fascinated by construction projects and never misses a chance to stop and chat with road workers about what they're building!

You'll also support people to enjoy activities such as swimming and aqua fit classes, so being comfortable around water is important. Alongside helping people enjoy their interests, you'll provide practical and emotional support, promote independence and help people live the life they choose.

You'll provide a mixture of practical and emotional support, including helping with daily routines, promoting independence, supporting with meals and drinks, and encouraging people to achieve their goals. Some individuals require more hands-on support, while others need gentle encouragement and reassurance.

Based less than a minute from Frome town centre, The Beeches is a lively, friendly home where you'll be part of a supportive team helping people live the lives they choose.

Shifts: 7am - 2:30pm / 2:30pm - 10pm / 1:30pm - 8/9pm / Sleep Ins and weekend. There will be four colleagues on shift at one given time.
