About the role

Join our friendly team at Cedar Park Court in Shepton Mallet, where you'll support adults with learning disabilities, autism and anxiety to live fulfilling and independent lives.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs. Your responsibilities may include supporting people with personal care, promoting independence around the home, helping with medication, and providing reassurance and support to individuals who experience anxiety.

A big part of the role is helping people enjoy the activities and experiences that matter most to them. One day you could be accompanying someone on a trip to London, a visit to the beach, a swimming session or a local disco, while another day may involve supporting someone with daily routines, appointments or achieving a personal goal.

You'll work both one-to-one and alongside experienced colleagues, building meaningful relationships and providing consistent support that helps people live life on their own terms. With a variety of shift patterns available, including long and short days, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference while being part of a supportive and established team.

Shifts: 7am - 2pm / 8am - 5pm / 2pm - 10pm / longs days and alternate weekends

About you

You don't need previous experience in care, just the right values. We're looking for someone who is kind, patient, reliable, and passionate about helping others live fulfilling lives.

You'll enjoy building meaningful relationships, celebrating achievements, and supporting people to be as independent as possible. Whether you're helping someone learn a new skill, enjoy a day out, or simply have a great day, you'll bring positivity and encouragement to everything you do.

You'll be a great team player, willing to learn, and confident communicating with the people we support, their families, and colleagues. Being calm, adaptable, and able to use your initiative will help you thrive in this role.

Basic IT skills are required, as you'll use digital systems to complete training and record support notes.
