About Discovery

At Discovery, every day is a chance to make a real difference. Whether you work directly with the people we support or play a vital role behind the scenes, your contribution helps create moments of joy, independence, and genuine connection.

We empower people to live the life they choose—supporting them to grow in confidence, learn new skills, and even discover meaningful employment opportunities.

People with learning disabilities, autistic adults, and their families are at the heart of everything we do. We’re passionate about helping every person we support lead the very best life possible.

As part of Dimensions—one of the UK’s largest not-for-profit organisations and a leader in best practice for over 40 years—you’ll be joining a team with a proud history and an even brighter future. Together, we create places where people feel valued, respected, and truly at home.

Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.

About the role

At Rhydderch House Flat, you’ll be supporting a wonderful gentleman in his 60s who lives life in his own unique way. You’ll play an important part in understanding his cues, building trust, and making sure he always feels safe, respected and listened to. With learning disabilities, autism, sensory processing differences, he needs patient, compassionate people around him who can offer reassurance and support through every part of his day.

No two days will ever be the same. You might be enjoying music together and having a little dance around the house, heading out for a walk along the beach followed by fish and chips, or relaxing in the garden while he spends time on his swing or in his lazy spa. He loves being out and about—whether that’s a stroll around Ninesprings with a hot chocolate in the café, or simply sitting in the kitchen watching you cook a home-cooked meal.

This role includes full personal care and lone working, so confidence, resilience and kindness are essential.

Shifts: Include 7am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm and working alternate weekends
Driving license: A full UK drivers license is essential to drive his mobility vehicle.

If you’re someone who leads with empathy and enjoys making every day meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.

About you

We’re looking for someone warm, patient and genuinely enthusiastic about making a positive difference every day. You’ll be caring, flexible, supportive and comfortable working with people who have a range of communication and physical support needs. You don’t need experience — just compassion, reliability and the willingness to learn specialist skills.

You’ll also need basic IT skills, as you’ll be using digital systems to update daily records, support plans and medication notes.

If you’re someone who brings kindness, energy, humour and heart into everything you do — we’d love to meet you.
