Salary: £12.82 – £13.98 per hour (depending on the service)
Sleep-In Rate: £50 per sleep-in

About the Role

As a Relief (Bank) Support Worker, you’ll provide person-centred support to people with learning disabilities and, in some services, complex healthcare needs. You’ll work across homes in Hayle and Penzance, supporting teams as required.

This is a day-shift focused bank role, suited to people who can pick up shifts as and when available.

Shift Information:

• Long day shifts: 8am – 8pm
• A mixture of shifts between 7am and 10pm
• There may also be a requirement for sleep-in shifts, which are paid at £50 per sleep-in

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting people with everyday activities and personal care
• Promoting independence, dignity and choice
• Supporting individuals with complex healthcare needs, where required
• Working alongside experienced teams across multiple services
• Following care plans and risk assessments
• Supporting people to live fulfilling and meaningful lives

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Full UK driving licence
• Access to your own vehicle
• Ability to work across services in Hayle and Penzance
• Flexibility to pick up day shifts

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities
• Experience of complex healthcare needs (e.g. epilepsy, PEG, mobility support)
• A caring, reliable and positive attitude

No formal qualifications are required — we value the right attitude and commitment above all else.
