We’re all here to make a positive difference to people with learning disabilities and/or autism in Somerset. Here at Discovery we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Support Worker team in Williton.

About the role:

As a Support Worker at Sunnyside you will be supporting individuals to live their lives to the fullest in the way that they desire. We support 8 people with a range of abilities. In a typical day at Sunnyside you will be take on a broad variety of roles and tasks, ranging from supporting with the core day to day essentials such as personal care, meal preparation and medication.

A job with our team is so much more than supporting with the essentials however, and you will be busy going out and taking part in activities with the people we support, whether that be going shopping, having a meal out or going out for walks, swimming and much more. Some of the people we support love to spend a day indoors singing karaoke, playing games and we have exciting event nights at the end of each month. The relationships that the people we support have with their family and friends is very important to us and we provide support to maintain these relationships both in person and online.
