Support Worker

Here at Discovery are looking for committed Support Workers to join our team.

The lady we support is in her 60’s. She is independently mobile and is looking for Support Workers who will help her fulfil her life and get involved in activities with her.

The things she loves and that are important to her:

  • Her arts and crafts. She’d specifically like it if you like making hats as much as she does
  • Listening to her favourite CD’s including her go to favourites Abba
  • Taking her to the local garden centre or farm shop for a look around and a coffee
  • Playing pairs and other card games. Board games go down well too
  • Enabling independence by assisting with day-to-day tasks (which include – but are not limited to – finances, shopping, cooking & personal care)

The other thing that this lady would like you to know is that she likes a routine. As long as you are patient with her and happy to work to a routine you will get on brilliantly.
