Support Worker

We’re all here to make a positive difference to people with learning disabilities and/or autism in Somerset. Here at Discovery we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Night Support Worker team at Newholme in Ruishton, Taunton.

About the role:

As a Waking Night Support Worker at Newholme, you will be responsible for checking on the well-being of the people we support as well as overseeing domestic tasks. We are a small residential home supporting up to 8 residents with a learning disability from age 18 upwards. Our residents have a great personality and sense of fun so you must too! Some people do have some complex health concerns that need your support to manage but full training will be provided.

Benefits and rewards:

  • £9.00 per hour, £9.90 for waking nights, £30.50 per sleep in.
  • Part time from 9 hours to 27 hours, or relief work available
  • 30 days’ annual leave entitlement (including bank holidays) pro rata
